Christmas Decorations
/Now that the holidays have past, it is time to begin taking down the decorations. Around our house the only thing we managed to decorate this year sits in our driveway. For the holidays our vehicles don garland, lights, and ornaments and garner quite a few looks everywhere we go. One of our biggest challenges during the holidays is finding up close, front and center parking for maximum exposure.
As near as we can remember we figure this tradition dates back to 1997. It began as the next embellishment of car gadgets meant to impress amateur radio geeks at the end of a radio transmitter hunt. Over the years the design was tweaked and modified to its present configuration which includes:
- an inverter to power
- the 600 lights on
- a rigid tubular frame
- controlled by a light sequencer
- on a shutdown delay timer
- wired to the ignition and
- remotely controlled and
- synchronized by
- a hand-held transmitter
